    • 23 of cases had contact with a known case
    • 18 of cases had traveled internationally
    • 6 of the cases were community transmission

COVID-19 Response Team Update

Updates from our team:

  • Stay-at-home order is active in Hoopa, CA
    • Curfew times are 8 PM to 4 AM
      • Fines for violating curfew are $500, $1,000, $1,500 for first, second, and third offenses, respectively.
  • We are highly encouraging people to stay home unless people need to do essential travel for things like food, medicine, or other necessary items.
    • If you need to travel for any reason, please practice social distancing and maintain approximately six (6) feet away from other people.
    • If you are sick, we want to emphasize that people need to wear facemaskswhen they’re around other people or in a healthcare provider’s office.
    • Please also clean your hands often either by using soap and water for over 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer with over 60 percent alcohol.

Dedicated to elders specific information:
Hoopa Grocery Store

  • Delivery available Monday through Friday to ALL COMMUNITY ELDERS (ages 65 and over) for groceries.
    • Please call the Hoopa Grocery Store at (530) 625-1013
    • Orders placed before 3 PM will have same-day delivery, if supplies are in stock.
    • Orders must be over $20, by cash or check only.
  • Preferred elder’s shopping hours are 6 AM – 8 AM.


  • Will be delivering a food box to ALL COMMUNITY ELDERS (ages 65 and over) in the next several days.


  • A free 1/2 cord of firewood can be ordered for community elders (ages 65 and over) in the community

Community Updates

Hoopa Grocery Store 

  • Hours are changing to 6 AM to 7 PM.
  • They have assigned an employee dedicated to sanitization of the store
  • Limit to 1 package of toilet paper, 1 case of water, and 1 hand sanitizer per customer.
    • Toilet paper is out of stock, but the staff is regularly seeking new supplies.
  • Occupancy is limited to 10 shoppers in the store. 
    • After 2 people exit the store, they will allow 2 people in.

Hoopa Mini Mart

  • The new Hoopa Mini-Mart hours are:
    • 7 AM to 10 AM (Gas and Store),
    • 10 AM to 12 PM (Gas ONLY, while employees sanitizer store), 
    • 12 PM to 3 PM (Gas and Store),
    • 3 PM to 5 PM (Gas ONLY, while employees sanitizer store), 
    • 5 PM to 7 PM (Gas and Store)
  • Hoopa Mini-Mart will also be implementing a $5 minimum purchase
  • Occupancy is limited to 3 shoppers in the store.
  • Gas is pumped by the staff, and the preferred payment method is debit/credit card.
