COVID-19 Response Team Update

  • Stay-at-Home order is active in Hoopa, CA
    • Curfew times are 8 PM to 4 AM
      • Fines for violating curfew are $500, $1,000, and $1,500 for the first, second, and third offenses, respectively.
  • We are highly encouraging people to stay home unless people need to do essential travel for things like food, medicine, or other necessary items.
    • If you need to travel for any reason, please practice social distancing and maintain approximately six (6) feet away from other people.
    • If you are sick, we want to emphasize that people need to wear facemasks when they’re around other people.
    • Please clean your hands often by using soap and water for over 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer with over 60 percent alcohol.
  • Please connect with us to identify essential items to discourage trips to town.

Elders Information

Groceries
Hoopa Grocery Store

  • Delivery available Monday through Friday to ALL COMMUNITY ELDERS (ages 65 and over) for groceries.
    • Please call the Hoopa Grocery Store at (530) 625-1013
    • Orders placed before 3 PM will have same-day delivery if supplies are in stock.
    • Orders must be over $20, through cash or check only.
  • Preferred elder’s shopping hours are 6 AM – 8 AM.

Firewood

  • A free 1/2 cord of firewood can be ordered for community elders (ages 65 and over)

Community Updates

Hoopa Grocery Store 

  • Hours are changing to 6 AM to 7 PM.
  • They have assigned an employee dedicated to sanitization of the store
  • Limit to 1 package of toilet paper, 1 case of water, and 1 hand sanitizer per customer.
  • Occupancy is limited to 10 shoppers in the store. 
    • After 2 people exit the store, they will allow 2 people in.

Hoopa Mini Mart

  • The new Hoopa Mini-Mart hours are:
    • 7 AM to 10 AM (OPEN),
    • 10 AM to 12 PM (Gas ONLY, while employees sanitize store), 
    • 12 PM to 2 PM (OPEN),
    • 2 PM to 5 PM (Gas ONLY, while employees sanitize store), 
    • 5 PM to 7 PM (OPEN)
  • Hoopa Mini-Mart will also be implementing a $5 minimum purchase
  • Occupancy is limited to 3 shoppers in the store.
  • Gas is pumped by the staff, and the preferred payment method is debit/credit card.

Coast Central Credit Union

  • Hours are changing to 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Hoopa PUD

  • HVPUD District Office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 AM to 12 PM
  • Transfer Station is open from 9 AM to 5 PM

  • Requests that you call in before you visit at (530) 625-4261 so that they can prepare for your visit properly.

Hoopa Fire Department

  • Due to COVID-19, Burn permits will not be issued. Please use 2019 Burn permits.

Humboldt County

  • The County has recently limited the types of services in operation, and the list can be found on the Hoopa OES website.

  2. Since its marked specifically for times, it would be good to say that the transfer station is open friday thru tuesday 9to5, woth Wednesday and Thursday being their weekend. They way its listed makes it sound they are open 7 days a week
