COVID-19 Response Team Update

  • Stay-at-Home order is active in Hoopa, CA
    • Curfew times are 8 PM to 4 AM
      • Fines for violating curfew are $500, $1,000, and $1,500 for the first, second, and third offenses, respectively.
  • We recently published a safety webpage on the Hoopa OES website. Please go there for resources and information on helping protect yourself from COVID-19.
  • We are highly encouraging people to stay home unless people need to do essential travel for things like food, medicine, or other necessary items.
    • If you need to travel for any reason, please practice social distancing and maintain approximately six (6) feet away from other people.
    • If you are sick, we want to emphasize that people need to wear facemaskswhen they’re around other people.
    • Please clean your hands often by using soap and water for over 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer with over 60 percent alcohol.

Elders Information

Hoopa Grocery Store

  • Delivery available Monday through Friday to ALL COMMUNITY ELDERS (ages 65 and over) for groceries.
    • Please call the Hoopa Grocery Store at (530) 625-1013
    • Orders placed before 3 PM will have same-day delivery if supplies are in stock.
    • Orders must be over $20, through cash or check only.
  • Preferred elder’s shopping hours are 6 AM – 8 AM.


  • A free 1/2 cord of firewood can be ordered for community elders (ages 65 and over)

Community Updates

Hoopa Grocery Store 

  • Hours are changing to 6 AM to 7 PM.
  • They have assigned an employee dedicated to sanitization of the store
  • Limit to 1 package of toilet paper, 1 case of water, and 1 hand sanitizer per customer.
  • Occupancy is limited to 10 shoppers in the store. 
    • After 2 people exit the store, they will allow 2 people in.

Hoopa Mini Mart

  • The new Hoopa Mini-Mart hours are:
    • 7 AM to 10 AM (OPEN),
    • 10 AM to 12 PM (Gas ONLY, while employees sanitize store), 
    • 12 PM to 2 PM (OPEN),
    • 2 PM to 5 PM (Gas ONLY, while employees sanitize store), 
    • 5 PM to 7 PM (OPEN)
  • Hoopa Mini-Mart will also be implementing a $5 minimum purchase
  • Occupancy is limited to 3 shoppers in the store.
  • Gas is pumped by the staff, and the preferred payment method is debit/credit card.

Coast Central Credit Union

  • Hours are changing to 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Hoopa Valley PUD

  • The Hoopa Valley PUD District Office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 AM to 12 PM
  • The Transfer Station is open from 9 AM to 5 PM on Friday through Tuesday.

K’ima:w Medical Center

  • Requests that you call in before you visit at (530) 625-4261 so that they can prepare for your visit properly.
  • The K’ima:w Medical Center Pharmacy will change its closing time to 5 PM, until further notice.

Hoopa Fire Department

  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Burn permits will not be issued. Please continue to use 2019 Burn permits.
