We have changed the format of our announcements to have the most recent changes of information at the top of the report.
There are 3 sections to this new report layout:
- New: Information that is new to this announcement and has never been reported
- Updated: Information that has been reported but has changed
- Important: Information that has been reported but is still important and has not changed.
NEW
- For the food box events, we handed out 800 food boxes to the community in April 2020.
- Due to supplies running out yesterday, there will be NO community food box event today.
- For next month’s community food box event in May 2020, we are having it at a single location: the Hoopa Fire Station
- The time will still be 12 PM to 4 PM
- TANF will be handing out a food box tomorrow, May 1st from 2 PM to 4 PM. There will be CURBSIDE SERVICE ONLY, and visitors will be asked to follow social distancing protocols.
- Be advised: there are income eligibility requirements for these TANF food boxes, thus please bring a photo ID with you.

- Humboldt County
- The County has recently limited the types of services in operation, and the list can be found on the Hoopa OES website.
- The County is also requiring people to wear facial coverings in specific settings, effective on Friday, April 24th, 2020.
